What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device when you visit. It lets the site remember simple things between page loads and return visits, such as whether you've already dismissed a notice or which page sent you our way. Cookies can't run programs or carry viruses, and on their own they hold only a short string of text, nothing that identifies you by name. Sites also use related technologies like local storage and small tracking pixels, and for simplicity we call the whole lot "cookies" throughout this page.
Why we set them
Casino Claude is a review site, not a casino. There are no player accounts here and no money ever changes hands on these pages, so we need far less information than an operator would. The cookies we do rely on cover three simple jobs: keeping the site working as you move between pages, remembering a few small preferences so the experience stays consistent, and measuring, in aggregate, which guides people genuinely find useful. That last part is how we decide what to update, expand or retire, and none of it involves trying to identify you as an individual.
The four categories we use
The table below sorts every cookie on this site into four familiar groups. Essential cookies are always on, because the site can't work properly without them. The other three are optional and are set only once you've agreed to them.

The analytics we actually run
Two analytics tools run on casinoclaude.cc, and neither one loads until you've consented. Microsoft Clarity studies anonymised, aggregated behaviour, how far people scroll and where they click, which helps us catch confusing layouts and broken sections. Matomo counts page views, approximate location and device type so we can read traffic patterns over time. Neither tool builds an advertising profile of you, and both report their findings as combined figures rather than anything tied to one visitor. Prefer not to be counted? Declining analytics cookies turns both tools off, and every page carries on working exactly as before.
Cookies set by other companies
Some cookies come from other companies rather than from us. The most common case is when you click one of our outbound links and land at a casino: that operator, or the affiliate network handling the link, may drop its own cookie on your device to record that the visit came from Casino Claude. That's how our commission is tracked, it costs you nothing extra, and it never changes our ratings. Once you're on another company's site you're covered by their cookie and privacy terms, which are outside our control. Affiliate cookies of this kind usually last somewhere between 30 and 90 days.
How to manage cookies in your browser
On top of the choice you make in our consent banner, every major browser lets you review, block and delete cookies directly. The exact wording changes from version to version, but these are the usual starting points:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies (or Cookies and site data).
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings, then Safari, then Advanced, then Website Data (on a Mac, use Safari, then Settings, then Privacy).
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data.
You can also use a private or incognito window, which clears most cookies the moment you close it. Just bear in mind that blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, like the consent banner or your display choice, from behaving as they should.
Your choices, your consent
When you first arrive, we ask whether you accept cookies that aren't strictly necessary. Nothing optional is set until you say yes, and you can change your mind whenever you like by clearing the site's cookies or adjusting your browser settings. Essential cookies stay put because the site genuinely needs them to function, but everything else, preferences, analytics and marketing, is entirely your call.
